Each 600 film pack contains a battery that powers the camera, a great Polaroid idea meant to ensure that their cameras never ran out of juice. Of course, Polaroid Corporation didn’t count on going out of business. Unused batteries fade away with time. It won’t be long before all expired Polaroid integral films will be useless, and our only option for shooting these cameras will be to buy from the Impossible Project.

One of the only places left that you can pick up expired Polaroid film is at eBay. It’s been nearly a decade since Polaroid shut down their machines, so the remaining film goes for a pretty penny.

Does expired polaroid film work?

The restored Limited Edition Polaroid SX-70 comes in Kate Bingman Burt-made packaging and is priced at US$350. It ships in mid-October, whereas PX100 Impossible Project Instant Film is priced at US$22 and ships in mid-September.
